Troop 305 Honors the Flag with the Elks in Harrison, NJ

Scouts & Leaders from Unit 305 in Kearny participated for the first time in the annual Flag Day ceremony hosted by the Harrison / East Newark Elks in Harrison on June 14, 2017.

Councilman Larry Bennett, Exalted Ruler of the Elks of Lodge #2326, was the master of ceremonies for the Elks' annual Flag Day celebration, assisted by Larry Kelly. In accompaniment with Mr. Bennett's remarks about the history of the American Flag through the years, Kearny Scouts paraded the various versions of the flag to the audience gathered at the grounds of the Harrison Public Library.

To conclude the ceremony, Scouts officially retired two American Flags.
